How to Start Homesteading
Our number #1 question we always get is “how do you start homesteading?” Our answer is really simple: start now. It doesn’t matter what your living situation is because homesteading is about ordering your life around the family and nature and you can do this anywhere!
Why Homesteading ?
The small family farm fosters common goals and generates opportunities to work together as a family to achieve those goals. This of course promotes unity between the family members, spiritually connecting them to one another and to God.
A Family Farming Enterprise
Here at Our Lady’s Ranch, we are homesteading farmers which means that we prioritize family and faith while growing food (livestock) for our livelihood. One such farm animal is our meat poultry! If you’re thinking about raising poultry on your own land, we hope this journal entry simplifies the process and encourages you!
Temporal Work Yields Eternal Rewards
Farming can be hard work and oftentimes discouraging. Yet, God still sends us little signs to remind us that He is there and that what we are doing is good.
